Insured policy holders

Disaster strikes and your home or business is gone.

Your first reaction is to call the Police or an adjuster and then file a claim with your insurance company. That’s the logical thing to do, however, remembering what you had, where and what you paid for it is difficult when under extreme stress. Your focus is you, your family or your business.

What we can do to help you:

·Inventory the contents of your home or business

·Value all possessions and items

·Professionally appraise higher valued items such as antiques, collections, art and more

·Work with your adjuster, should they need us

·Help you be pro-active and be prepared in case of a disaster

Your possessions, regardless of the value, are of utmost importance to you and your loved ones. Everything needs to be replaced and you want to settle the claim efficiently and quickly.

There are many companies that perform home inventories, but very few (none in new England) include a certified valuation and appraisal. We have performed many inventory and appraisal services for attorneys, insurance companies, adjusters, restoration companies and homeowners. We have done work for Liberty Mutual, Vermont Mutual,The Travelers, Liberty Mutual, Chartis, Amica and others. We also have performed hundreds of estates for attorneys throughout New England, adjusters, as well as historical societies.

Our Inventory Service includes:
Initial Evaluation – we meet with you to assess and discuss what you would like inventoried. In addition, we will discuss any specific appraisals you may want or need.

     Physical Inventory
we perform a room-by-room detailed inventory and take digital photographs of items as specified by you. The inventory will include a description, valuation*, and other information necessary to properly classify each item. Upon completion of the physical inventory, we give you options that will list any warranty, appraisal, or related receipt information to the respective item. In addition, a notation will be made if an item is on an insurance policy schedule and the value set by you, the owner.

Portfolio and Documentation
– A printed spreadsheet inventory and related pictures in a portfolio folder with a CD ROM with all of the inventory information and pictures, (a back-up CD will be stored in a safe deposit box at a bank).

Our Update Service includes:
Annual Review and Inventory Update – An optional 1 hour face-to-face consultation time to review and updating of your inventory lists for new additions and/or deletions as well as take digital photographs of the related item(s) if needed. Finally, we will provide a CD ROM that reflects the adjustments recorded.

     Secure backup and file storage
– For clients that would like to have the added protection, we offer a CD storage capability, which houses the information and scanned in copies of your vital documents. We will store a back-up CD ROM in a bank safety deposit box. (Please note that the information will not be stored on a server or any device that is accessible via the internet).

* Valuations are not researched appraisals. They are based on experienced opinions from our appraiser.

Client Requirement: The Home Owner must be present at the time of inventory to assist in assigning estimated values to selected items.

Service Notes: The Inventory Service and Update Service do not include a “Professional Appraisal" of any item(s), unless otherwise stated. Values from an inventory are educated opinions from a certified appraiser, unless otherwise stated.
